How to Copy Documents

1. Load the originals either in the Duplex automatic document feeder (DADF) or onto the document glass.

  • Duplex automatic document feeder (DADF) a. Remove any clips and staples before loading a document. b. Load the original face up in the centre of the document feeder. c. Adjust the document guides to match the size of the original.
  • Document glass a. Open the document feeder cover. b. Load the original face down and against the top left corner of the document glass. c. Close the document cover.

2. Press the Home button on the control panel.

3. Touch Copy on the touch screen.

4. Touch 2 Sided Copying.

5. Touch from the following options:

  • 1->1 Sided: 1-sided originals to single-sided copies
  • 1->2 Sided: 1-sided originals to 2-sided copies
  • 2->2 Sided: 2-sided originals to 2-sided copies
  • 2->1 Sided: 2-sided originals to single-sided copies

Note: Other options will be displayed depending upon selections.

  • Originals – This option is displayed when you select 1->2 Sided or 2->2 Sided. a. Head to Head: Select this option when the front and back sides of the document are in the same orientation. b. Head to Toe: Select this option when the front and back sides of the document are in opposite orientations.
  • Copies – This option is displayed when you select 1->2 Sided or 2->2 Sided. a. Head to Head: Select this option when you want the orientation of the front and back sides of the copy to be the same as that of the original document b. Head to Toe: Select this option when you want the orientation of the front and back sides of the copy to be the opposite of that of the original document.
  • Original Orientation - Allow you to specify the orientation of the document so that the device can identify the top of the document.
